The 2017 Film Prizes

The members of the Jury want to congratulate all the participants for their talent, determination to forge a singular artistic voice and poetic sensibility. We are convinced their passions will be undeterred. Furthermore, the members of the Jury are grateful for the trust and privilege of discovering with each project a story untold and a world unknown.

It is our sincere hope that the Robert Bosch Stiftung will continue the Film Prize in the Arab world. These are historic times; filmmakers are at the forefront of capturing the lived experience of change, and co-productions are among the most eloquent and democratic platforms for sharing and understanding this radical change.

The Jury was very impressed by the high standard of the projects. They pointed out, that as much as the filmmakers develop with the program, the Film Prize develops with the filmmakers. Finally, the members of the Jury want to express their gratitude to the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
